Portland Wedding

Ali + Wil

Weddings like this one are always the hardest to write about. There is so much detail, how am I supposed to form it into a couple paragraphs?! Well, needless to say, planning Ali + Wil's wedding was a dream come true. They were SO fun to work with, both extremely talented in their own right and a beautiful pair.

Their wedding was held at Bingham Estate, a private residence in Wisonville, along with Willamette River. Not only did it fit the couple's requests for a venue, but it definitely did not disappoint on the day of.

Their ceremony was held under a stunning floral arbor by Blum Floral, where Ali + Wil wrote the MOST amazing vows to one another, leaving no dry eye in the crowd.

After which the guests enjoyed cocktail hour by the pool- Art of Catering served Boozy Otter-Pops, Froze, along side some delicious appetizers- including a street taco station with mini margarita shots- ALL TO DIE FOR!

For dinner, guests made their way down to the lawn and sat amongst a mixture of round and long white wooden tables which were under rows of hanging garland strung from tree to tree.

Each setting was set with a custom acrylic charger that had the menu engraved into them by Letters and Dust, along with white and green florals in a variety of wooden bases and mirage chairs.

The ceremony altar was also transformed to the dessert display table where guests enjoyed a variety of sweets provided by Dream Cakes.

Greenlight Creative lit up the space and made it look even more magical as the night went on.

Everyone had a great time dancing thanks to Event Team Entertainment and Blue Wave Band- including an after-party in the pool house. It was definitely a night for the books! And June Bugs thought so too- loved seeing all the amazing details featured, thank you!

Melanie + Brady

As a part of the Seattle-based Bridal Bliss Team, it is not every day that I get to plan a wedding in Oregon.  However, after meeting Melanie and Brady I knew I just had to be a part of their special day!

Melanie and Brady chose The Columbia Gorge Hotel for their September wedding, which was even more special for Melanie's family as many of them live in the area.

The entire weekend was full of celebration, and we could not have been happier with the gorgeous fall Pacific Northwest weather.

If you have not been to this hotel before, it is one to visit as it sits directly above the Gorge providing wedding ceremonies - including Melanie and Brady's with the most amazing backdrop.

Guests enjoyed this view, along with beautiful arrangements by Jordan of Blum, and were entertained by the cutest flower girl and ring bearer duo.

Following some epic family photos (including some good laughs over me trying to remove sap from Brady's suit pants!)  guests sampled cocktails and appetizers on the patio before moving over to our main tent for dinner.

Blum's stunning certepieces, coupled with rentals from Bridgewood Rentals and paper goods by Robinson Paperie made for a truly stunning evening.  Dinner concluded, and the real party began.

And when I say party, we are talking one for the books. Mel and Brady, both WSU alums contacted their college favorite, DJ Goldfinger, who made a special trip out from Pullman to celebrate with these two!  He kept the entire night moving with a packed dance floor from start to finish! And a first for me, the party was so fun we actually had wedding crashers from the hotel next door!!! Needless to say we had to ask these four to leave to make room for our actual wedding guests!

The celebration concluded the following morning with a farewell brunch on the patio of the hotel.  Guests slowly made their way downstairs, in part because of all the fun had the night before, but more so that no one wanted this weekend to end!  I felt very much the same way - sad to say goodbye to such an amazing couple!

Mel and Brady, I don't think a dance party will ever be topped! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day!

Madison + Kevin

I had such a wonderful time planning this wedding with Madison and her mom, Annette.  This was one for the books. The couple chose to get married out at Scholls Valley Lodge in Hillsboro, Oregon.

We had the best team of vendors assembled for the wedding day. Portland Makeup and Hair was first on site to start the glam process with the ladies. Aniko Productions was there to capture every special moment. From first look to last dance, they were at the ready to make sure the memories would last.

Brenna Burnett Florals had the floral design covered! From beautifully design bouquets and boutineers, to custom table centerpieces, there was no shortage of fresh flowers. There were custom hand-lettered signs throughout the evening courtesy of Letter and Dust.

The guests were treated to an acoustic set for cocktail hour by John Ross Music, before he switched into DJ mode for the dance party.  But let's not skip over the food…. Taste of Excellence did an amazing job of bringing the couples food vision to life.

I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed getting to know these families!  Madison and Kevin, thank you again for having me as a part of such a special day!

Michelle + Jason

With only six weeks to plan her wedding, Michelle and I hit the ground running! I've known Michelle for years, as she is an incredibly talented hair and makeup artist with Face Body Beauty. To say I adore her would be an understatement!!

The wedding was very intimate with sixty of their nearest and dearest, at Oregon Golf Club.

Guests arrived in the morning and were greeted with mimosas and Bloody Mary's.

After beautiful and tearful vows, a cocktail hour followed where guests enjoyed mini chicken and waffles bite size and crab cakes.

Afterwards, the couple enjoyed their favorite meal with their guests...brunch complete with a donut bar! The details were outstanding.

The programs were newspapers, "The Wedding Day Times," each place settings was adorned with a personalized crossword puzzles and pencils, guests took home cinnamon sugar seasoning jars as a favor and the couple's monogram graced the cake as well as the personalized cornhole boards.

Carrie, a Bridal Bliss planner who also happens to be a florist on the side, complimented the natural beauty of the garden with the perfect touch of blush roses and eucalyptus garlands.

Michelle looked absolutely stunning and her groom couldn't stop gushing. I can't think of a more perfect day for these two to start their journey together as husband and wife!

Stacy + John

Stacy & John were the sweetest couple.  They planned a majority of their wedding from out of state so Arlette, John's step-mom, took the lead.

It worked out perfectly, as the festivities took place at her stunning home and perfectly manicured garden! "Garden" doesn't quite describe it...the property was modeled after a European garden and it was immaculate!

This wedding had to go off without a hitch, as John's father also happens to be my father's boss!! Thankfully, it did.
