Chelsea and Sam’s wedding was a beautiful celebration of a love that began in their college days and has blossomed over many years together. They began their wedding week with a private elopement on Mt. Hood, where a few close family members and friends gathered to witness their vows. Following this intimate ceremony, the couple hosted a joyful reception for 60 of their loved ones at Blockhouse, a venue nestled within the enchanting Pomarius Nursery.
The natural beauty of the nursery’s lush greenery provided a stunning and serene setting, perfectly capturing the couple’s love for nature and the outdoors. The evening featured a touching Jewish ceremony under the Chuppa, where family members and parents recited the Sheva Brachot, or Seven Blessings, adding a deeply meaningful and spiritual element to the celebration.
The music for the evening was unforgettable, with the DJ playing live music during key moments. A highlight was the couple’s first dance, where the DJ played the guitar and sang “Grow Old With You” from The Wedding Singer, creating a tender and personal moment that resonated with everyone present. The couple also provided bubble guns for their guests, which were a huge hit on the dance floor, adding a whimsical and joyful atmosphere to the night. The rest of the evening, the DJ kept the dance floor alive with great music, ensuring guests had a fantastic time.
Chelsea and Sam added several charming personal touches throughout the event. They displayed childhood photos and photos of their early days together on the welcome table, adding a sweet and nostalgic element to the decor. Their signature cocktails were named after their beloved pets, infusing the celebration with a playful and unique flair.
