Mickinzie + Joe Rehearsal Dinner
I had the pleasure of working with the Sanders family on Melissa + Charlie's gorgeous wedding back in 2014 and instantly fell in love with them. This crew is as sassy as can be with impeccable taste, high standards and a great sense of humor. I've worked on small projects here and there with Carla since then, and was absolutely thrilled when she contacted me to plan a rehearsal dinner for a very special nephew, Joe and his fiance Mickinzie. The festivities were to take place at Carla's beautiful home in Kalama!
A true Italian, this event was a nod to the family's heritage. We coordinated an amazing menu complete with a special family polenta recipe, rolls adorned with twine and rosemary, and an abundance of dishes served family style on beautiful wooden tables. A huge hit was the raclette appetizer station, courtesy of Devil's Food. Who doesn't love perfectly melted cheese and accoutrements? Dessert was a display featuring panna cotta, jordan almonds, biscotti and tarts to name just a few of the treats, and also available to guests was a yummy coffee cart. Kids were made very welcome with gift bags containing everything from bubbles, to fortune tellers to stickers--everyone was happy!
The setting was set with an accordionist, Italian dinner tunes by Chad Dowling Productions, strung lighting by Party Place and heartfelt toasts by friends and family. This event was such a pleasure to be a part of --congrats Joe + Mickinzie!
