Bianca + Varun

Planning a wedding from afar isn’t always easy, but Bianca and Varun made it effortless.  This gorgeous couple chose to be married in Portland to give their guests an ultimate vacation experience and boy did they deliver!  We started the morning in the back lot of Eastside Exchange where family and friends gathered for the celebratory Baraat featuring Pips Donuts and the groom atop a gorgeous white horse.  Guests continued the celebration inside to the Indian Ceremony where they were met with brightly colored floral from Blum and gorgeous programs from A Tie That Binds.  After the ceremony guests made their way via hosted shuttles to Cerulean for lunch.

Bianca and Varun made a quick outfit change before spending their afternoon downtown shooting photos with Bryan Rupp and video with Couture Motion Pictures.  After photos guests gathered at The Old Church where a second ceremony was officiated by Father Larry and piano played by the bride's childhood piano teacher Ms. Kara.  After the ceremony ended the party headed back to Eastside Exchange where guests enjoyed cocktails and the gorgeous Portland views from the roof.  Downstairs in the ballroom the reception space took on anthropology feel with ivory on ivory linens, multicolor glassware from Classic Vintage Rentals, and the cutest wooden table numbers.  We repurposed the mandap from the Indian ceremony in to a lavish sweetheart table for two and jazzed up the cake table with a fun textured linen.   The couple pulled out all the stops for their guest including a fun photo booth, handmade s'mores from 1927 s'mores, late night pizza served from the back of a food truck courtesy of Tastebuds PDX, and a night of dancing thanks to the Essentials and Chad Dowling.  Bianca and Varun wanted their guests to fall in love with Portland as much as they had, and after this party I am positive they did!  Congrats Bianca & Varun.  It was truly a pleasure helping you plan this wedding and I can't wait for you to come back and visit!
