A + W Wedding Weekend

This wedding weekend is one for the books. A + W came to us wanting to plan a fun -all-out Portland wedding for their guests. With everyone traveling to Portland for the weekend we wanted to make sure and show them all that this beautiful city has to offer. We dove in head first as we knew it was going to be a big fun weekend.

A + W kicked off the festivities with a small dinner on Thursday at Kachka. We worked with Chervona who provided traditional Ukrainian music for the dinner. Guests dined on an amazing family style meal showcasing some of Kachka's most well known dishes. And of course everything was paired with their vodkas!

The following day guests made their way out to either Hood River or Willamette Valley to enjoy the fun offerings outside of the city. That evening everyone was welcomed to Plaza del Toro for lively dinner featuring menu items from Tasty n' Sons and Tasty n' Alder. A + W loved picking out Northwest food and drinks for their guests, wanting to feature the best of the best. DJ Cooky Parker kept the good times rolling by spinning soul inspired vinyls throughout the night. After the dinner guests ended the night with a drink at Doug Fir.

For the wedding day we worked with Jacobsen Salt to provide a fun and urban venue for their wedding. A + W wanted the evening to be laid back, simple yet styled effortlessly and that is exactly what came together. We worked an A-list of vendors who made it all possible. One of the highlights of the design was having Fieldwork Flowers suspend 200 white peonies from the ceiling of the ceremony area. The high rafters and floating flowers gave the ceremony space this ultra romantic, chapel like feel. It was truly gorgeous.

Outside in the parking lot we worked with Barclays and Classic Vintage Rentals to design a fun, laid back tent for cocktail hour. With the perfect amount of sunshine guests enjoyed sipping on cocktails and bites of food outside. Back inside the vendors worked to flip the ceremony space to the reception space.

As the evening moved along guests were invited back inside for dinner which was comprised of three unique food stations from Art of Catering. The stations were full of local purveyors paired with NW wines from Lingua Franca and Domain Serene. Precious Byrd welcomed guests to the dance floor and kept the party going all night. Throughout the evening guests were treated to unique Oregon experiences including Salt & Straw ice cream, Case Study Coffee Cart and a weed bar.

After the wedding guests made their way to La Merde for a fun after party with a balloon filled room, DJ stray mixing music and food from Montage. It was the perfect ending to a long day of fun and celebrations. The next morning guests were welcomed to The Nines for a brunch and to pick up hangover kits. After three days of celebrations Bridal Bliss put together little kits to help guests get through their Sunday's and flights back home. We absolutely loved being apart of this fun filled wedding weekend and were so thankful Dylan Howell captured all the amazing pictures. Thanks A + W!!
