Sophie + Owen
As individuals and as a couple, Sophie and Owen have such a way of embracing others with warmth and familiarity, and I was no exception. They were a dream to plan with, approaching each step of the process with ease and excitement and their adorable pups Louie and Olive always at their sides.
An early autumn chill in the air and afternoon sun breaks made for a perfect PNW wedding day. Sophie and Owen embraced the quintessential elements of JM Cellars with a lush natural color palette of green, white and blush pink floral arrangements made by the bride’s friend, Tierra Brandy Floral Kayla Kollection Artistry and family friend Michelle helped Sophie and her girls prepare for the day. The bridesmaids and groomsmen wore classic black fits, but no detail was spared, even down to the bride’s Dior slingback pumps and groom’s Louboutin loafers.
Amongst our favorite details, though, was a new take on the “guestbook.” A restored rotary telephone provided by After the Tone allowed guests to leave voice recorded well wishes, happy memories and marriage advice for the couple. So sweet!
While Ravishing Radish served up a delicious dinner, Mariana Tey perfectly captured all the most special moments throughout the evening. There was not a dry eye in the house, especially not the bride’s, while friends and family toasted to their love, faith, and family – and with the same champagne the bride’s parents drank at their own wedding decades prior.
The dance floor was electric thanks to music and emceeing by Chris Graves, and of course the reunion of friends and family to celebrate the happy couple. And the Honeycrumb cake was so delicious we saw guests going back for seconds to fuel their evening.
