Kara + Luke

Kara and Luke and Kara's mom, Lora were just a blast to work with. They knew their vision, trusted their vendor team and just overall FUN people! Booking Tin Roof Barn for their venue, for late May, the topic of a back up plan was definitely on our minds. Well, come wedding day the weather gods didn't want to cooperate but Kara and Luke's "go with the flow" attitude had everyone not even thinking it was "the back up plan". Not only did they have smiles on their faces the entire time, but they thoroughly enjoyed themselves and so did everyone who surrounded them.

Kara really loved sunflowers and wanted various shades of yellow in her palette, so with the help of Jordan from Blum, we brought in all the sunny vibes inside the barn. We had a variety of bud vases and larger arrangements on tables, with sunflowers and greenery growing up each beam in the barn.

Art of Catering served a family style dinner  Using the venues beautiful farm tables and mis-matched vintage chairs, we set each place setting with personalized menus with place cards at each setting, super fun signage (including a pair of ducks- an homage to Luke's love of hunting them) along with napkins and runners provided by La Tavola/BBJ Linen. Guests danced the night away and enjoyed late night treats, ending the evening with clear skies and bright shining stars.

Thank you, Kara, Luke and Lora for having me a part of such a monumental day in your lives. It was a true honor!

XOXO, Katy
