Kristi + Freddy

I had the privilege of working with Kristi several years ago and it was during this time that I got to know how special she truly is. One of my favorite parts about her was her love for all things glamorous. Her desk was decked out in shades of pink, champagne and gold showcasing glitter and shine wherever possible!

Fast forward to wedding planning, and we had to of course incorporate some of these same elements! Kristi and Freddy selected The Four Seasons Seattle as their venue, which could not have been more perfect for this glam couple.

Guests were wowed the minute they stepped into the hotel as Seattle Floral Design and The Prop Gallery had transformed the entire venue.

From start to finish every element of the day felt so unique to this special couple.  From the darling slideshow with pictures of each member of their bridal party to the toasts made to Kristi's parents (who share the same Anniversary!) to the special appearance of their fur baby, Kobe, it all showcased their love for each other and their friends & family perfectly.

Guests enjoyed every minute as they were wined and dined by the extraordinary team at The Four Seasons. They all crammed in for multiple rounds in the Fun Frames photo booth, and danced the night away, under the spinning talents of DJ Miguel from Classic Joints Production. All of this and so much more was captured by our amazing photographer, Wiley Putnum who also was there for their traditional tea ceremony the week prior!

It was a day filled with joy and happiness I could relive it over and over again.  Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day Kristi and Freddy!

Prevent Wedding Stress

A common question we get asked is if we have to deal with bride/groomzillas. Thankfully the answer is no!! Most of our clients are wonderful and enjoying their engagement because we’ve taken on most of the planning stress. They get to decide how much/little they are involved with and it keeps them calm, cool and collected. Nora recently went on MORE Good Day Oregon to share some more tips on how to prevent wedding stress—take a peek!

Plan ahead and plan well

  1. Stick to your budget—nothing will stress you out more than blowing the bank.

  2. Do not stress over the bachelor/bachelorette party---if you don’t trust him/her already you have bigger issues.

  3. Don’t have unrealistic weight expectations—crash dieting and being hangry will only put you in a bad mood. It is much easier to take a dress in than to let it out so order your current size!

  4. Get a massage and leave the week of the wedding for pampering.

  5. If something goes wrong, shrug it off and don’t let it ruin your day. You are probably the only person that notice!

  6. Confirm all of your vendors prior to the wedding day on last time.

  7. Hire a wedding planner!

Ali + Wil

Weddings like this one are always the hardest to write about. There is so much detail, how am I supposed to form it into a couple paragraphs?! Well, needless to say, planning Ali + Wil's wedding was a dream come true. They were SO fun to work with, both extremely talented in their own right and a beautiful pair.

Their wedding was held at Bingham Estate, a private residence in Wisonville, along with Willamette River. Not only did it fit the couple's requests for a venue, but it definitely did not disappoint on the day of.

Their ceremony was held under a stunning floral arbor by Blum Floral, where Ali + Wil wrote the MOST amazing vows to one another, leaving no dry eye in the crowd.

After which the guests enjoyed cocktail hour by the pool- Art of Catering served Boozy Otter-Pops, Froze, along side some delicious appetizers- including a street taco station with mini margarita shots- ALL TO DIE FOR!

For dinner, guests made their way down to the lawn and sat amongst a mixture of round and long white wooden tables which were under rows of hanging garland strung from tree to tree.

Each setting was set with a custom acrylic charger that had the menu engraved into them by Letters and Dust, along with white and green florals in a variety of wooden bases and mirage chairs.

The ceremony altar was also transformed to the dessert display table where guests enjoyed a variety of sweets provided by Dream Cakes.

Greenlight Creative lit up the space and made it look even more magical as the night went on.

Everyone had a great time dancing thanks to Event Team Entertainment and Blue Wave Band- including an after-party in the pool house. It was definitely a night for the books! And June Bugs thought so too- loved seeing all the amazing details featured, thank you!

Christelle's Baby Shower

I first met Christelle back in 2016 when we planned her epic Art Museum Wedding! She and Jon knew they wanted a family and got right on it! Christelle's shower with her sassy sister-in-law, Melissa, was a blast.  We incorporated tones of blue (it's a boy!) with white and gold, darling stuffed animals, uber elegant florals and beautiful vintage china to create a super chic brunch shower at Waverley Country Club.

The mama-to-be (with the most darling bump!) was absolutely glowing and guests enjoyed the beautiful view, yummy bites, mocktails (and cocktails...Melissa doesn't mess around!) and the the sweetest baby gifts.

Congrats Christelle + Jon, and thank you Melissa for the comic-relief of planning an event with you!

Kids + Weddings

A question each couple asks themselves as they try to build their wedding guest list is, 'should we include kids? While there is no right or wrong answer, take a peek below at Nora’s live segment on KPTV sharing some tips when navigating this sticky subject!

Make it clear who is invited on invitation

Create a nearby kids area

·      sitters

·      entertainment

·      performers

·      crafts

·      movie

Offer a kid-friendly meal or mini-buffet

Seat tweens/families together. Offer mocktails!

Rosalind + Blair Wedding Day

Following a night of laughs and love at their rehearsal dinner and welcome party, the next day, Rosalind + Blair said their "I do's" at a quaint church in downtown Portland followed by a stunning reception at Waverley Country Club. We decked out the outdoor lawn with lights and hanging greenery. It was the perfect evening for an outdoor dance party + some fun desserts that rolled in late night.

After a sweet first look and bridal party pictures, the group took off in the Double Decker Bus to the church to officially tie the knot!

Rosalind + Blair made it official and they were off to Waverely to celebrate with their guests! One of my favorite touches to this wedding was the grooms tequila lounge, named, "Blair's Bar." During one of our meetings we bonded over our love of tequila and his passion for tasting. We got to thinking and soon enough we had the perfect tequila lounge, set a bit away from the rest of the celebrations, for friends to gather and enjoy some of Blair's favorite tequila. I was honored when I got an email from Blair asking me to go full decor to make this bar something special. It turned out to be the hot spot of the night!

Blair & Rosalind were definitely something special. I wish you both nothing but the best in your new marriage!

Rosalind + Blair Rehearsal Dinner

Oh my gosh, these two! What a way to kick off the weekend with a fab rehearsal dinner at Blue Hour. Rosalind and Blair (and their families) were truly some of the best people I have ever met! I worked closely with Blair’s mom to throw together this “Napa Chic” rehearsal dinner with 150 of their closest friends!

We opted for a mix of rounds and long tables for guests to mix and mingle with while listening to toasts from Blair’s 16 groomsmen (yes 16!) and Rosalind’s sweet family & friends. Swoon Floral created lush, organic looking florals that fit perfectly with the overall vision.

It was the perfect evening celebrating Rosalind + Blair! After dinner, guests were escorted by pedicab to Irving St Kitchen for the welcome party portion. The weekend was just getting started and I knew I was in for a good one! It was such a pleasure to plan & design this dinner alongside Cheryl, Blair’s mom. Cheers to Rosalind + Blair!
