McKenzie + George


From the moment I met McKenzie and George, I knew helping them plan their wedding would be a blast. George was the wild one, who reveled in as many unconventional ideas for their big day as possible. McKenzie was the mellow one, who embraced each of these ideas with a smile and even contributed a few of her own.

Together, they were a perfectly balanced pair, who simply wanted to bring together all their loved ones for a few days of fun and celebration.

During the planning process, McKenzie and George continuously expressed how they wanted to host an event that embodied who they are both as individuals and as a couple; fun, unique and full of surprises. With the help of Nora, George’s sister and the owner of Bridal Bliss, we put together a one-of-a-kind, three-day, wedding extravaganza.

The festivities began Thursday, with an intimate ceremony at an Airbnb in Washougal, WA. Family members gathered around, and McKenzie and George’s nieces and nephews blew bubbles, as the two said “I do”.

After the ceremony, everyone spent time feeding the horses from the farm and enjoyed a delicious dinner prepared by Crown Paella.

The night ended with bluegrass tunes from Left Coast Country and a beautiful sunset over the Columbia River Gorge.

Bridal Bliss celebrated our unique vision and helped us make it all happen. They quickly became a part of our “team” and my hubs and I felt like winners. The process was easy and fun. Our planner communicated with vendors, troubleshot, determined timelines, removed any headaches and brought it all to life seamlessly.

Anna + Miles


Two of the sweetest ever, Anna and Miles, said "I do" at the Oregon Garden.

A nod to their Salem area roots and a place they dreamed of getting married at, we started planning! 

They decided to go with a ceremony on the large lawn and dinner & dancing in the large great hall.

The ceremony was the perfect intimate setting for both to share sweet vows amongst family and friends. 

Cocktail hour kicked off the party and before you know it guests were dining under the starlit ceiling and enjoying toasts.

Guests made their way to the great hall area where they found their table assignment on a large hop wall made by the brides family.

After dinner and before dancing started, Carmen, the mother of the bride and I pulled off a Louisiana Cake Pull.

Don't worry, I had to Google it too!! Just before the cake was cut and served, each of the single friends and bridesmaids take turns pulling a charm from the cake for a glimpse of what’s to come in their future. It was so fun to watch the maids & close friends gather around to watch this Southern tradition.

I absolutely adored this family, this couple and wish you both the best in your new marriage! Congratulations Anna + Miles!!

Ali + Jimmy


As a wedding coordinator there are some brides that you just 'have' to work with.  For me this was Ali, but it also included her mom, Elaine and sister, Lauren. I include all three of the them as they were together when I met them and could not stop laughing as all three of them are hilarious!  Elaine, and Lauren were integral in all parts of planning, and I had so much fun working with them.

Ali shared with me the look she and her (also amazing) fiance Jimmy were going for. They had selected Alderbrook for their reception venue, as it was just down the beach from Ali's family cabin on the Hood Canal.  

Rather than going along with the classic PNW this seaside resort offers, Ali and Jimmy selected an off-season month, November and played into the moody feel that this wooded wonderland can provide.  Although we wanted some masculine elements - bringing in a steer head, antlers, custom wood chairs (made by the bride's uncle!), we juxtaposed those elements with opulence - gold trim on the Robinson Creative House paper goods, tons of candlelight, BBJ velvet linens, and of course the most mazing palette of greens and unexpected florals from Gather Design.  Our take on a Nordic Lodge truly came to life!

And before we knew it the wedding day had arrived!  Still smiling from the last two days of celebration the ladies were dolled up by the incredible Anne Timss and team.  Ali looked in amazing in her first of two gowns (her dad, Mark's pick - a stunning blush Sareh Nouri gown). Our ceremony was held at St. Edward Catholic Church just a few miles away from Alderbrook.  Back onside at the resort guests were met with cocktails and fresh oysters (Pop-Up Oyster Bar). Dinner kicked off in the tent (with Ali in gown two!), where guests dined, and celebrated the newlyweds.  The entire evening was capped off with an epic dance party (Bamboo Beats), ice cream sandwiches and late night snacks, and a photo booth (The Snap Bar) - all captured by the incredible Sullivan and Sullivan.  

The entire weekend was one of celebration. After checking into the hotel guests boarded Lady Alderbrook where they sipped champagne on their way down to the Market, At the Market they were treated to a classic cookout, and charmed with toasts by their bridal party. Ali and Jimmy also took time to recite their vows to each other as they wanted to share them with their closest family and friends. It was hard to believe that was only night one (we had that much fun!). Friday our guests had a chance to relax and enjoy the picturesque setting before joining us for drinks and snacks as a thank you for traveling to be with us for the weekend.

Brunch followed the next morning, where Ali and Jimmy hugged and thanked each guest on their way out. It was an amazing weekend, and one I am so thankful to have been a part of! Congratulations Ali and Jimmy, and thank you to Seattle Bride Magazine for the feature!

Larissa + Tony


Tony & Larissa threw quite the bash! I was lucky enough to plan their first big celebration on new property the groom's parents were building.

The ceremony was sweet as can be as Larissa walked through an arch full of floral, Blum did not a miss a beat on this!

The day was filled with beautiful florals and even better food! 

After they exchanged vows, their friend kicked off the celebration and cocktail hour with acoustic guitar and some of their favorite jams

They dined under the string lights on the other side of the property and Crown Paella served up quite the meal!

Guests enjoyed toasts made by close friends and family while we got the dance floor ready for the party to come!

They danced the night away and I am so grateful I got to be apart of this journey! Congratulations Tony & Larissa!

Erin + Jordan


The ceremony took place at The Grotto in North Portland. Erin looked nothing short of stunning in her beautiful, white gown form Anna’s Bridal.

She spent the morning with Blossom and Beauty, who created the perfect wedding look for her and her bridesmaids.

They had their first look in the park blocks in downtown Portland before heading to The Grotto for their ceremony.

The couple drew quite a crowd during their ceremony, with a few spectators even asking if the couple was famous (due to the paparazzi of course). Their personal paparazzi was Moving Pictures as well as Altura Studios.

After a traditional Catholic Ceremony, guests boarded charter buses to be taken to the Reception at the Portland Art Museum.

West Coast Drape had the reception spaced draped off, and once they were pulled back, it was time to be seated for dinner. The ballroom was dripping with custom floral chandeliers from Blum Floral design, that tables were perfectly in line with the design concept thanks to Party Place.

They had delicious bites and sipped on custom his & hers cocktails from ChefStable Catering. ChefStable hit a homerun with dinner, followed by the most amazing cake from Dreamcakes, which had a special hidden baseball nod.

Then it was time for Dancehall Days to start the party, and boy did they!! I have honestly never seen the ENTIRE room of a wedding get up to dance like these guys did!

Erin and Jordan, It was so great to see your vision come to life with this wedding. I enjoyed getting to know you both, and i’m always happy to meet you at breakside for a beer!

All About Bridesmaids


Nora recently went on MORE Good Day Oregon to discuss bridesmaids (and groomsgirls and bridesmen!) and share a few tips when it comes to your wedding party. Take a peek!

  • Your "bridesmaids" don't have to be girls! Include a brother or friend as a "bridesman"

  • Don't ask your bridesmaids too early or you may have more people than you want.

  • Your squad doesn't have to perfectly match! Play with colors and styles.

  • Who pays for the dress? That is up to you but keep costs in mind.

  • Don't overwork your people - one DIY night is plenty. Agreeing to be in a wedding party is a time commitment, so respect that!

  • Communicate! Keep them up to date on fashion decisions, events, times/places
