Josh + Brett

The view of Mount Hood was a spectacular backdrop for Brett and Josh’s warm wedding day. With wildflowers flourishing behind them, the couple said their “I Do’s” under an arbor decorated with a vibrant spray of roses, peonies, Queen Anne’s lace, and eucalyptus by Trellis Flowers. Ceremony arrangements and the bride’s bouquet complimented the natural elements of the venue, with pops of bright pink all over. Jewish traditions were present throughout the event, with the seven blessings being a highlight of the ceremony.

During the cocktail hour, guests cooled off with the couple’s signature drinks, Cucumber Gin Fizz and Moscow Mule, and enjoyed goat cheese stuffed figs, and Thai chili shrimp hors d'oeuvres. For dinner, Four and Twenty Blackbirds prepared cabernet braised beef short ribs, locally caught salmon, and stuffed sweet peppers, with herbed red potatoes and roasted vegetables. Brett and Josh wanted chocolate cakes for their wedding - with peppermint filling and peppermint frosting for “His”, and espresso filling and peanut butter frosting for “Hers”. So decadent! Following the toasts of the evening, John Ross sang Vance Joy’s “I’m With You” as the couple danced their first dance in front of all their family and friends.

Even though it was hotter than originally expected, Brett and Josh’s day was a dream! The love these two shared kept people smiling throughout the evening, and all the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Congratulations Brett & Josh - you were so much fun to work with, and I wish you a beautiful life together!

XOXO, Candida
