Michelle + Stefano

People like Michelle + Stefano are why I love doing what I do.  Not only are the super nice but they are truly genuine people who just want the best for everyone they know and love, which made planning not only fun but meaningful as well. We selected The Old Church for their ceremony and The Treasury Ballroom for their reception, both historical buildings in Downtown Portland.

For decor, we kept the church simple, letting the beauty of the design speak for itself.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the beautifully remodeled Treasury Ballroom where they were greeted with signature cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres by Vibrant Table Catering.  Flowers filled the reception room with gorgeous purple, blue and white florals by Blum Floral, with tables covered in soft grey linens and glass gold beaded chargers + chiavaris. Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious sweets and cake by Dream Cakes and danced the night away with an epic dance party put on by Event Team Entertainment. It was truly a magical night.

Devan + Joe

What an honor it truly was to coordinate for a fellow wedding industry expert! Devan, owner of Nimbi Design, had a perfect vision from the beginning. She had a hand in all design aspects and her creativity was truly on display. Handmade paper flowers, a vintage family car, hidden speakeasy cigar bar and a cake designed as a surprise by the fabulous Liz Marek, bridesmaid and owner of Artisan Cake Company, are just a few details that made this day memorable. Devan & Joe's ceremony was romantic and lush with florals held at The Rhododendron Garden. Old Hollywood glamour showed in every detail of their reception - gold, black and blush was the perfect color scheme while candles and mirrors sparkled all over the Treasury Ballroom. Guests couldn't help but dance as they had 2 different live bands and a DJ! This event was one of a kind and unforgettable for everyone there. Big thanks to 100 Layer Cake + Oregon Bride Magazine for featuring the gorgeous event!

Ashley + Peter

Pretty in Pink was all Ashley wanted for her beautiful, romantic night at the Treasury Ballroom and she got just that. Coordinated by Natalia, Ashley and Peter were able to have the wedding of their dreams. Ceremony was held at the beautiful First Presbyterian Church. Guests were greeted by fun details like homemade fans and a mailbox card holder. Ashley and Peter were then married by her older brother which a very sweet moment for the entire family.

Guests were then escorted down to the Treasury Ballroom for a fantastic night of dinner and dancing.  A long staircase full of candles lit the path to the old bank where Vibrant Table was serving Chicken and Waffles as appetizers and Chad Dowling played beautiful background music. An hour later the curtains to dinner were lifted as Ashley and Peter were introduced for the first time as Mr & Mrs. Guests entered a beautiful classy, romantic reception with blossoming flowers and pink bags of salt water taffy treats for guest favors.

The couple ate and danced the night away as they celebrated their nuptials with family and friends. Can’t forget the gorgeous desert display of VooDoo Doughnuts , either! It was a beautiful night full of fun, laughter, and love.

Nicole + Jay

To say that I adored Nicole & Jay would be a HUGE understatement.  I absolutely loved working with this couple and getting to know them both along the way.  It is not common for the groom to be a part of almost every aspect of planning, but Jay was.  He let Nicole make many of the decisions, but definitely played devil’s advocate and always injected a great dose of humor.  It really made the planning process fun!

A really fun piece of the ceremony was that Jay surprised Nicole with a wedding band.  She had her eye on this specific band for months, but was trying to be practical and decided to stick with wearing her engagement ring on its own.  Her face when Jay pulled out the sparkly band was absolutely priceless!

The reception was a good old fashion party and had a stunning palatte with shades of red, black and ivory.  Guests enjoyed a great dinner and a groom’s cake made with Oregon Duck colors in the shape of skis, as a homage to Jay’s love of the sport.  The booze flowing, and guests danced the night away into the wee hours!

There is nothing better than watching your clients let loose on the dance floor and truly enjoying their wedding day.  Half way through the reception Nicole & Jay snuck out with LAUREL, their talented photographer, and took some amazing night time shots.   This photo is one of my favorites—breathtaking!
